Overview

NOTE that this walk is different from that shown in the trifold leaflet

The walk starts along the riverside on field tracks towards the village of Nisbet. Thereafter we walk half a mile on a quiet stretch of road. Then it’s an uphill climb along a Beech tree avenue, through woodland paths and open hillside, leading to the Waterloo Monument.

Lunch on the hill top if weather allows. Returning down hill to a quiet stretch of road leading to the Abby’s Way track back to start.

Splendid views on a good day.

Will be wet and muddy in places. Walking poles advised along with sturdy boots.

Two refreshment stops.
