From the well-known market town on the borders of Staffordshire and Derbyshire, a popular place for walking, into a typical White Peak Dale, onto the old railway line and back via Biggin.
The group does not stop at cafes or pubs for lunch, and you should bring enough food and drinks with you to last the whole walk. We have a short coffee break an hour or so into the walk, and stop for packed lunch around 1230-1300, although weather and a suitable location affect both timings.

You WILL come across, stiles, gates and other path furniture, pinch points, a busy road crossing. You MAY come across steep or rocky trails, muddy/slippery/flooded sections of path, inclement weather, farm livestock & warning signs. You should remain stay alert and take individual responsibility.
