Superb scenery up and down in the coombs, meadows and lanes of the Cotswold countryside.
We start at Hawkesbury Upton, walk downhill to Lower Kilcott and will then include a short uphill section of the Monarch's Way. There will be short stop for refreshments at a viewpoint overlooking the Severn valley. The walk then descends to Lower Hawkesbury, before returning uphill to Hawkesbury Upton.
Bring your own drinks/snacks for the refreshment stop.
The walk includes a mix of surfaces - most likely including mud!
There are only a few stiles, but they are all a bit tricky. Take care.
Parking space is limited. Please car-share if possible.
Limited parking is available in the village hall car park, on the right almost opposite Beaufort Arms pub. Please observe the request to make a voluntary cash donation for parking in the box on the wall of the hall.
If the car park is full, please park considerately along roadside.
Refreshments may be taken in the pub after the walk.
This walk is very similar to the walk on Wed 13 Nov. Thanks to Anne C for help and information.
