Before you register: This will not only be in hot August weather (so bring lots of water and sun cream) but will be on continuous hard ground all day, so please take this into consideration if you have any ankle conditions or injuries.
We will be starting at the train station in Havant just off the coast then follow the old railway line to the bridge and over to the island. Passing through some farms, we will have to follow the main road for a while and then alongside the golf course to reach the coastline. After we visit the boats and pass a campervan site, we shall have lunch at the beach. Plenty of ice cream and time for a toilet stop for everyone. Plus, if you wish to drop out halfway, the bus goes back to the train station if need be. Once we've enjoyed ourselves, we'll go along the beach for a bit then straight up to the old goods station turned town hall and the old LB&SCR goods line. This is continuous solid ground so be wary of your ankles before joining. We will reach the end of the line at the old signal and return back over the bridge and back to the station.
