A slightly hilly cross country walk on roads, tracks and footpaths. Most of the route is exposed to the weather but there is some woodland. No styles. Be prepared for mud. We will stop for lunch.
There are no toilet facilities at the start point or en-route.
We will walk E on King John's Road - Lee Farm Road then off road on the footpath to Weston Common. Head N towards Weston Patrick, cross Weston Road and take White Lane footpath to Tunworth. Turn W on Three Castles Path to the A339 (Basingstoke Road) at Winslade. We need to carefully negotiate a 200m section of the A339 to continue off road on Three Castles Path (Alley Lane) swinging S to Ellisfield. E along Church Lane and across fields (footpath) to Bagmore. About 1km along Bagmore Road to the cross country footpath, crossing the A339 at Southrope. Turn N on King John's Lane and back to Herriard Village HUB.

- Tunworth All Saint's Church build in 1854.
- Winslade - disused railway bridge and derelict station building from the Meon Valley Railway. 22 miles from Alton to Fareham. Followed the River Meon valley and linked to London at Alton. Opened 1903, closed for passengers 1955, closed completely 1968. Run by London & SouthWestern Railway Co. Cost £399.500 to build.
- Ellisfield, St Martin's Church. Built 1280, tower built 1884 - has 5 bells believed to be Spanish, still in use today.
