We are the East Hertfordshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Starting from the village green Hertford Heath near The Goat Inn. The
oldest building in the village, with cartography dating pre 1756
showing its location. From here we walk south to Ermine Street, a
former Roman road from London to York. Passing Broxbourne woods and
through Monks Green we return to the start via Balls Wood. A nature
reserve of Site of Special Scientific Interest which is managed by the
Herts and Middlesex wildlife trust. The walk is along footpaths,
bridleways and quiet lanes.
