Pre-registration preferred but not essential*
Moderate to brisk paced walk with some ascent - up to 22 km/13 miles, but many drop-out points* along the way.
Urban walking entirely on hard surfaces....no mud!
Route: Blackheath Cator Estate, then Blackheath, across railway line to Lee Green, Lee Manor Park and Lee Manor Farm Park (River Quaggy), Hither Green, Mountsfield Park, into the Ravensbourne Valley, Lewisham Park, Ladywell Park, Blythe Hill (first of the Brockley Three Peaks), Honor Oak Park, One Tree Hill, Camberwell New Cemetery, Crofton Park, Brockley and Ladywell Cemeteries, Hilly Fields, Brockley, Telegraph Hill, Hatcham/New Cross Gate, Fordham Park, Deptford.
*Drop-outs: for Rail or Overground stations at Hither Green, Ladywell, Catford stations, Honor Oak Park, Crofton Park, Brockley, Nunhead, New Cross Gate.
Lunch: bring food (park benches with views) but many pubs and cafes en route for a drink or loo stop.
Meet at Blackheath Station (Zone 3) at 10.35.
Travel: Cannon St 10.15/Lon Bridge 10.20 - Southeastern train to Bexleyheath - arr Blackheath 10.35. Or Victoria 10.03 via Denmark Hill (Gravesend train) arr 10.30.
Finish: Deptford Station (Zone 2) for the complete walk - around 5.15.
