Starting in Hopton Woods, this walk follows the Heart of Wales Line Trail before turning south to traverse Bucknell Hill. Returning across Darky Dale and back around Hopton Titterhill for a view over Hopton Castle and village. The walk is mainly on forest tracks (to avoid the mud), but with some farmland and streamside tracks for variety (and mud). Several stiles, but all quite sturdy. Undulating landscape with several climbs throughout the walk.
If you would like to join this walk, please book a place with the leader. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking so that someone else can take your place. If you turn up without booking, we may have to turn you away.

Car sharing is essential. The car park is well used as a base by mountain bikers and dog walkers.
Bring mid-morning (coffee break) snack and packed lunch.
