Overview

We will be exploring the area to the south of Ipswich. Starting from Lemons Hill Bridge car park we will walk along the shore of Alton Water before passing through fields and woodland to reach Freston and then the  River Orwell. After a short stretch along the river into Ipswich, we will visit Bourne Park and some wonderful nature reserves. We will return to the car park via more field edges and woodland. It may be too early for bluebells, but we can always hope.
