This is a circular waterside walk, mostly on paths through trees which bring the beauty of autumn colours but also the potential hazards of wet leaves and hidden roots that can cause slips or trips.There are also steps and muddy paths to climb and descend. So boots, poles and caution are all advised.
Starting from Leaderfoot, we will head to Earlston on the Jubilee Path, diverting to Redpath for a coffee stop. Crossing the Leader, after lunch, we will return to Leaderfoot on the Leader Water Path.
Note that there is the option to extend miles, ascent and grade to a grade B, should there be interest.
Boots and poles advised.
Drinks and snacks for 2 stops.
Circular walk, grade C+, leisurely/moderate. Hiking boots and poles are recommended.
