We are the Rutland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

The morning walk leaves KC Active heading east on the old railway path. At the end of the railway path we follow field boundaries and cross some fields to pick the road to Apethorpe. A good track is followed to Spa Farm cottages and then field boundaries to Morehay lane enables us to reach Kings Cliffe church for the lunch stop.
Those only wishing to do the morning walk can return to their cars through Kings Cliffe.
The afternoon will skirt Fineshade Wood towards Blatherwycke and return along the Willow Brook to Kings Cliffe
There may be mud in places as you would expect for this time of year.
There are a number of stiles on the walk.
Dogs are welcome but must be on a short lead. There may be livestock in some of the fields
Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
In the event of severe weather, please contact the leader on the day of the walk to check the walk is still on.
KC Active is on the northern edge of King’s Cliffe next to the Primary School. APPROACHING FROM THE EAST (A47) - From Park Street turn into Wood Road and as Wood Road bends left after less than 50 yards or so, carry straight on into Station Road. APPROACHING FROM THE WEST (A43 or Blatherwycke) – as you enter Kings Cliffe (jus past Wood Lane junction) take the left fork onto Wood Road. Go straight over the mini roundabout. Turn left into Station Road as Wood Road does a sharp right hand bend. BOTH – Follow Station Road as it bends left to form Kingsmead. Follow the road past the King’s Cliffe brewery. The road bends right and leads into the car park. Please Park at the bottom end of the car park near the entrance.
