A popular walk through the contrasting landscapes of east Purbeck. Following paths, droves and old quarrying tracks the route passes through two villages before emerging onto the spectacular Purbeck coast. The South West Coast Path is then followed for several miles on exposed cliff paths with several steep ascents and descents, including the challenging ‘V’ steps on the approach to Chapman’s Pool. Alternative inland route available which avoids an exposed section of cliff path. Possibility of route diversions along coast due to landslips. 2 stiles. There will be two stops during the day for coffee and lunch (please bring a picnic). Optonal pub refreshments at walk end.
