Overview

A delightful walk packed with stunning views and interesting sights. Starting at Kithurst Hill, we take the South Downs Way going west to Amberley station. Then up the banks of the river Arun turning off at Bury to cross the Amberley marshes, walking alongside Amberley castle and picnicking in the picture postcard village of Amberley. From there we cross farmland and woodland before walking through the magnificent parkland of Parham House. We end the walk with a steep climb back up to Kithurst Hill.

We meet at the large, free car park on Kithurst Hill. Get there via a turn off from the B2139 Amberley Road. The turn off is difficult to find as there is no signpost - just a No Through Road sign. If travelling from Storrington, the turn off for the car park is on the left about a mile outside the town. Once you turn off, follow the road up to the top of the hill where you will see the car park.
