This will be a 2.5 to 3 hour walk of about 5 miles, around the whole of this 650 acre Woodland development which started in 2014 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of WW1. The car park is next to the statues of the soldiers and the track then takes us through the Orchard and onwards. At this time of year there will be a spectacular display of BLUEBELLS. No stiles. Some inclines but none too steep. Footpaths generally good but can be some mud.
The leader can give lifts from Epsom for those with no car or wishing to avoid parking cost. Telephone several days in advance to book this offer.
Meet at the Woodland Trust car park on Headley Rd just after turning left at the junction on the road from Langley Vale. Don't be fooled by the Postcode which is based on the other side of the road. Parking is £4 for four hours paid by credit card. More expensive if using a parking App. Unfortunately no free parking for Woodland Trust Members. Philips Surrey Street Atlas 96 C7.
