We head south towards Loddington, and then eastwards to skirt Launde Park Wood. We then descend into the Chater valley, before bearing west towards Withcote Hall.
A short section on the Leicestershire Round returns us to Launde Abbey.
This is a fine undulating walk, with great views in all directions. The walking is on generally good surfaces - quiet tarmac lanes, firm farm tracks and field edges (only one stile to negotiate).
Dogs are accepted on this walk, although they must be on leads at all times.
Launde Abbey cafe provides light lunches if you wish to stay behind after the walk.
Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
In the event of severe weather, please contact the leader on the morning to check the walk is still on.
