From Kingston Station we make our way to Richmond Park via roads and then head to Isabella plantation when we can expect to find the best time of year to view the wonderful collection of azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias and magnolias. There will be 20 to 30 minutes of free time to explore the plantation on your own or with the leader who will find several handkerchief trees for you to view. Afterwards we head to the village of Ham and then the Thames Path to follow it south to the Boaters Inn at Canbury Gardens for an evening drink where the walk finishes. (It is about 10 minutes walk along the river back to Kingston). Terrain is mostly flat with two short hills. There may be mud.
