Overview

This walk is in the shade of the rich oak and beech woodland of the Corporation of London’s Burnham Beeches and the adjacent Portman Estate.   It is taken from the catalogue of Fancy Free Walks.  The Blackwood Arms should be open for refreshments when we finish the walk.

Free car park opposite the Blackwood Arms in Littleworth Common. From Burnham go north from the Bee on Dropmore Road to Littleworth Common. After passing Dropmore Infants School on the left bear right at a fork into Boveney Wood Lane, then after 300 yards turn right into Common lane. The car park is 200 yards along on the right.
