This linear walk starts at the paddling pool in Llandudno (North Shore). Note that there is a charge of 50p for the toilets now.
Walking down the prom towards the pier, we then circle anti-clockwise around the Great Orme, on the lower road. It is a gentle but a long incline, past the old toll house (part of the Wales Coastal Path), affording some stunning views of Llandudno and the Pier below. We pass the Lighthouse, perched on steep cliffs above the Irish Sea, and now a boutique hotel, and further on, the Rest & Be Thankful Café, a prime spot for a cuppa with ample seating, indoor and outdoor.
Rounding the Orme we descend towards West Shore (a known meeting point for other rambles) where there are (paying) toilets and benches to sit & have lunch, with lovely sea views. The Coastal Path takes us then towards Deganwy, the coastwatch station (under development), the dunes and marina, and then onto Conwy walls and town, and our bus stop at Castle Square for the return journey to Llandudno.
