Overview

This walk takes us from Glantawe ascending up through beautiful established path eventually onto Waun Llefrith stopping off briefly en-route at Sinc Giedd.  We now follow Beacons Way walking along the high ridges of Bannau Sir Gaer, Fan Brycheiniog, Fan Foel and Fan Hir before returning to our meeting place near Tavarn y Garreg.  Along the way we can enjoy stunning high level views of the Western Beacons the highlight being Llyn y Fan Fach and Llyn y Fan Fawr.  Depending on time constraints we may visit the crash site of the Vulcan training aircraft which is very close to our trail.
