Overview

This lovely 6-mile section of the Loop quickly reaches the surprisingly picturesque original village of Chigwell, with several ancient buildings. It then undulates through Essex farmland, before crossing the wild and lonely place that is Hainault Forest, with stunning views back to London. There is one high stile which is quite tricky. Lunch break will be outside, at Chigwell Road Recreation Ground. Be sure to bring food. Toilets at start and end only. Mud is a racing certainty, so wear tough shoes/boots. Should finish by 15.30
