Overview

A classic South Downs walk with fabulous views.  We'll pass through Stanmer village and make our first stop in the One Garden (toilets and cafe).  Leaving Stanmer Park, we'll cross access land to the Chattri monument for our lunch stop.  Then back up to the Jack and Jill windmills (refreshments probably available) to pause before returning along the main ridge to Ditchling Beacon.  Good paths or open grassland, a very few stiles and absolutely no mud - plus sheep giving birth in the open - when prewalked.
