Starting at the Fleur De Lys Pub in Lowsonford, we take the Heart of England Way, loop around Bush Wood, then head across Preston Fields to take the towpath back to the starting point.
There will be a short water / flask break.
About 15 stiles (eek) and some gentle ascent at the start.
Some mud even in this dry weather.
You may hear woodpeckers and you may see lambs.
SECATEURs note... We have one very overgrown path for about 200m - there is a quiet lane alternative for folk not relishing battling vegetation. BUT if anyone would like to bring their secateurs along and join me in a short spell of using a path 'because it is THERE and we should be able to' - go ahead.
