Overview

Walking south along the river Dove to Hanging Bridge and Mayfield Church (which still retains the bullet holes from Bonnie Prince Charle's army on it's retreat from Swarkestone Bridge in 1745) we will then proceed to the Ashbourne railway tunnel which leads us to the Tissington Trail - we leave the trail to ascend the hill and back to the start point.
