We are the South Wiltshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Today we visit one of our favourite haunts; the walk starts in Martin Down Nature Reserve from where we head into the Hampshire village of Martin. The walk then ascends onto Tidpit Common Down, Blagdon Hill and Penbury Knoll where we will have lunch with far reaching views across Cranborne Chase. We then descend into Pentridge, another small village now in Dorset, before crossing the A354 to return via Vernditch Chase. Maps: EX 118, 130 & OL22.
