This walk starts at the disused Merstone railway station and goes to the top of St. George's Down.
There are three stiles and there is one steep, though short, grass descent. There are some uneven surfaces but it is mostly good drainage underfoot. Among the interesting views, you do get an impressive view of the biomass feed plant from the top of St. George’s Down. Toilets and beverages are available at the Dairyman’s Daughter in Arreton for a short stop.
New walkers welcome. If you are new to the Ramblers you can just turn up for any of our walks, unless we specify otherwise. We invite you to come along for three walks as a non-member.
