Overview

This short but lovely walk has great variety and some superb views for much of the way.

Starting from Mickleton, we climb steadily up through attractive parkland, to go past Kiftsgate and Hidcote Manor (NT), and then carry on up to reach a broad ridge beside some radio masts (the highest point in Worcestershire). From there we follow the ridge along a road for a little way and then take a downhill path, through the pretty hamlet of Hidcote Boyce and on, through some delightful beech woods, back to Mickleton.

Mostly on good paths and tracks, plus a bit of quiet road. One fairly long, but not difficult, climb. Lots of gates but just a couple of stiles. Slight possibility of meeting some livestock. Suitable for well-behaved dogs on leads. Bring refreshments for a snack break.

For those interested there will be the possibility of post walk refreshments at the nearby King's Arms pub.
