A short, leisurely, after-work stroll at the northern edge of Blithfield reservoir, following the South Staffs Water (blue and yellow) waymarked trails. The route traverses a surprising range of habitats, including deciduous and conifer woodlands, a wildflower meadow and lake shore, with views overlooking geese and other wildfowl. The walk is flat on well-used paths, with just one short muddy patch if wet. There is ample free parking, and there is a public compost toilet near the end of the route. Feel free to bring a pair of binoculars if you have them!
