Overview

An easy walk through fields and woodlands (includes some pavement walking).

Starting in the former mining area of Dinnington we pass through Laughten-en-le Morthern with its beautiful ancient church and remains of motte and bailey. We then head for Roche Abbey where we'll stop for lunch, then onwards to Maltby where we finish near the old church.

Catch the 9:30 X5 bus from Stand C5 at Sheffield Interchange. The walk starts at 10:20 from Dinnington Interchange. (WCs at both interchanges.)

At the finish the X1/X2 bus back to Sheffield runs four times an hour.

Anyone who has not walked with the group before, please contact the leader in advance.

No dogs please.
