The walk follows the old track bed of the Waverley line to Riccarton Junction, but takes you to two points of interest. Firstly the nine standing stones at Ninestone Rig. We then retrace our steps onto Wills Bothy on the right of the old railway line, before Riccarton Junction which lies 1 mile further up the line before retracing our steps back to the Heritage Centre. A moderate walk on Railway tracks and forest paths, some bracken to cross near the stones.
Circular walk, grade B, moderate. Hiking boots and poles are recommended.
