This walk uses the School Car Park at Spetisbury as a starting point and is timed to give us 25 minutes at The Lovers Knot towards the end of the walk. We start along the Stour Valley, detouring to see the Spettisbury Rings before heading west up to Abbeycroft Down and across the old tarrant rushton airfield to The Lovers Knot for a 25-minute refresher. Then its due east to Tarrant Abbey Farm and we rejoin the Stour Valley Way past Keynston Mill and back through a 'waterside maze' to Spetisbury.
Easy walking. Saturday was picked to give us room in The True Lovers Knot.
RAF Tarrant Rushton was used as a 'glider station'.
It's easy to miss the turn off. The School Car Park is free during weekends and school holidays.
