Walk details

We start our day at Wargrave station from where we’ll work our way up through the village, out the other side and begin our first ascent of the day up Bowsey Hill.

Next we drop down into and through Warren Row before starting our second ascent of the day up Pudding Hill where we will stop lunch.

After lunch we climb across onto Ashley Hill where we can find ourselves a quick refreshment at the Dew Drop Inn before completing our ascent of Ashley Hill.

From here it’s mostly all downhill. We drop down off Ashleigh Hill into Knowl Hill where If we are lucky and it’s a clear day you might be able to see one or all of Wokingham, Bracknell & Windsor Castle.

After lunch our path takes us between the holes of the Castle Royal golf club and across some farmland into Waltham St Lawrence. Here we have the potential to have a second refreshment stop at The Bell.

Our final leg takes us out of Waltham St Lawrence across some more farmland to drop us into Twyford.
