Overview

An 8.5-mile circular walk past Pembroke Castle alongside the river to Pembroke Dock. The tide will be out, enabling the route to proceed along the shoreline, skirting the edge of the golf course at Barrack Hill before dropping down to the Martello Tower at the edge of Pembroke Dock. The shoreline walk may well be muddy. There is then a view of the old Naval Dockyard. Following this, the walk proceeds through the town's streets back into Pembroke.

There will be many chances to discuss the history of the area.
