Overview

Pendinas is a well known hill above Aberystwyth offering good views over the town & Cardigan Bay.  The route crosses the Afon Ystwyth & turns right along a path to join a road which leads in turn towards a path on the left which climbs to the top of Pendinas. From there the descent is by the lower path to join the Ystwyth Trail which was the trackbed of the old Aber to Carmarthen railway. After reaching Pont Tanycastell the route heads NW under Alltwen to the S end of Tanybwlch beach & thence back along the beachside track to the Car park.
