A pleasant circular walk around Pendine taking in the Welsh Coast Path, Marros Mountain and Pwll.
The walk starts in Pendine and climbs to the top of Dolwen Point, which is a steep climb up steps with handrails. We then continue along the Wales Coast Path, with some steep ascents and descents as far as Marros Sands where we turn north up to Pwll and return to Pendine via a bridle path back to the beach at Gilman Point. If we hit low tide when we arrive at the beach, we do the last mile on the sands, otherwise it is another climb over Gilman Point. The walk is classed as Strenuous due to the steep ascents and descents, some with steps and handrails, but total ascent is 1800 feet. However, the views are well worth the effort.
The various cafes in Pendine may be closed when we return due to it being out of season. They were closed on the recce. There are public toilets in Pendine.
This walk is not suitable for dogs.
