A rural, circular walk starting at Penshurst Place, walking through the village of Penshurst, then through fields, woodland and a vineyard. The final section of the walk is through the parkland of Penshurst estate and passes Penshurst Church. Some walking along quiet lanes. Beautiful rural views.
Please note that if you are travelling from the Tonbridge direction, that Bordyke is CLOSED from 24 July and you will need to find an alternative route.
The Porcupine Pantry café opens at 9am, so you can have breakfast or coffee before the start of the walk if you wish. Gift shop and plants available.
Cafe at Penshurst Place, or Leicester Arms pub in Penshurst village at the end.
Nibble break in vineyard. Yewtree Wood can be muddy. Five stiles, many gates, 2 slopes up.
Please: arrive 10 mins before the start of the walk to sign in and hear the walk briefing, check the grading of the walk to ensure the walk is the right level for you and allow the walk leader to set the pace for the enjoyment of all walkers.
