A moderate but energetic walk of 10 miles starting from the Primary School CP in Peterchurch. We will leave Peterchurch on a quiet road to start the gradual ascent towards Vagar Hill. We then cross fields, which will be muddy in places, before reaching Vagar Hill where there are far reaching views of the Golden Valley to the east and the Black Mountains to the west. We return to Peterchurch on part of the Herefordshire Trail.
There is a steady climb to Vagar Hill which has a total ascent of 1,302ft. The moorland can be boggy in places after rain and poles are advised. There are a number of stiles on this walk.
Please bring packed lunch and plenty to drink.
Limited to 20 walkers, no dogs please.

Peterchurch Primary School car park. Turn right into the school after entering the village on the B4348 and then use the second drive on the left to park in front of the school outside the green fencing.
