Overview

A gentle walk along the Basingstoke Canal towpath, onward through woodland and out into beautiful, open countryside, passing farms and paddocks to reach the village of Pirbright with its pond and green. Picnic/café lunch here and pub for drinks only. Returning via the church and the grave of Henry Morton Stanley of “Mr Livingstone, I presume” fame. Estimated finish time 3.30pm.
