Join Jill for a 6 mile circular walk from the lay-by in Plumpton Lane beside the 1/2 Moon Pub car park or park in the said Pub’s car park. Ascend the Downs to join the South Downs Way. Descend the Downs on a bridle way passing the the V-shaped plantation planted in 1897 for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. Cross the road at Westmeston and take the bridle way eventually passing Middleton Manor on the right. On reaching Hayleigh Farm we walk to Streat and on along the line of a Roman Road to East Chiltington church and on to Stanton’s Farm and to the outskirts of Norlington Place before crossing a couple of fields before we arrive back at The Half Moon Pub car park and lay-by. Please bring your own first aid kit and remember to have on you ICE (Incase of Emergency) on your SMART phone or on you. Parts of this walk can be muddy in places.
