We are the Vale of Glamorgan Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk will cross the river Taff (by Bridge - No wading across!)
We follow the river, then a steady climb to the gap / bite for a Coffee break.
Then downhill to follow the old canal road to Abercynon and back up the river. After a climb to the road we head back towards Quakers Yard and then to Nelson.
Finally, we cut through the woods to retrace our steps back to the Glan Pub !
If the weather deteriorates i.e. too much rain, we can cut the walk short at various points, to return to the shelter of the Pub, good beer and coffee. !
