The first of three walks between stations on the Wyre Valley Line. This 8 mile linear walk is between Droitwich Spa and Hartlebury Stations. The first section of the trail is on the Monarch's Way as far as Westwood Park. From here a bridleway and tracks are followed to Doverdale before continuing on footpaths through open fields to Hartlebury station with its on-site brewery, tap house and restaurant. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE START AND FINISH POINTS SHOWN ARE FOR THE WALK ITSELF AS SOME MAY CHOOSE TO START FROM DROITWICH OR LEAVE FROM HARTLEBURY.
As with all three Rail Trail walks the plan is to catch the 10.15 train from Worcester Foregate Street station. However participants can choose to drive and park at or close to Droitwich station or catch trains (or buses) from other destinations. The walk itself will start when the train is scheduled to arrive at Droitwich at 10.24. If catching the train from Worcester either purchase your ticket online or allow plenty of time to buy one at the station. The intention is to catch the 15.44 train back from Hartlebury which gets back to Worcester Foregate Street at 16.02.
