The second of three Rail walks on the Wyre Valley Line. This 7 mile linear walk is between Hartlebury and Kidderminster stations. The walk heads west from the station passing through Hartlebury then north to follow a disused railway line with an amazing cutting and raised section over the River Stour. The Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal is then followed for most of the way into Kidderminster. Further details of the walk, with map and gpx are provided in the attached website link.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE START AND FINISH POINTS SHOWN ARE FOR THE WALK ITSELF AS SOME MAY CHOOSE TO START FROM HARTLEBURY OR LEAVE FROM KIDDERMINSTER.
As with all three Rail Trail walks the plan is to catch the 10.15 train from Worcester Foregate Street station. There is the option to drive to the start point, but parking at or close to the station is limited. Arriving by train or car share is therefore recommended. The walk itself will start when the train from Worcester Forgate Street arrives at Hartlebury station at 10.31. If catching the train from Worcester either purchase your ticket online or allow plenty of time to buy one at the station. It is anticipated that we will catch the 15.39 train from Kidderminster to return to Worcester at 16.02.
