A leisurely linear walk from Reading Green Park Station westward around a series of lakes, threading our way along wooded causeways, then north to the Kennet & Avon Canal and westward along a sinuous stretch of its towpath with abundant wild flowers to a picnic lunch at Sheffield Bottom Lock. After lunch we go south to the Fox & Hounds at Sheffield Bottom, then west through lanes and over undulating fields before turning north to re-cross the river and canal to reach Aldermaston Station
