LVF Ramblers is a friendly, sociable group, specialising in short leisurely weekend walks of 3-4 miles in town & country, mainly accessible by public transport.
Meet 10.30 at Warwick Avenue Station (Bakerloo Line) at the top of the stairs, for a 4 mile linear walk along the towpath of the Regents Canal from Little Venice to Primrose Hill. Refreshment and toilet stop at the Primrose Hill Tea Rooms, then walk around Primrose Hill Park's more secluded pathways leading towards Chalk Farm Underground Station. Largely this is a story of Victorian development and subsequent social change. The easiest break-off point during the walk - just over half-way - would be when we leave the towpath in Primrose Hill. The 274 bus (the 'Zoo-bus') will take you to various tube stations: travelling one way to Camden Town (which has both Tube & the Overground line to Stratford) and on to Islington Angel, the other way to Baker Street and Marble Arch.
