Overview

Starting from Barnham Community centre the route follows footpaths to Walberton and return via Yapton to the start. Mainly across level farmland and partially following the route of the old Portsmouth to Arundel canal where the bed of the canal and a good example of a canal bridge which is still in use today, can be seen.

Expect the usual mud in places.

Two pedestrian level crossings to negotiate, one which has 10 steps down and up. A short section of road through Walberton with no footpath but otherwise alongside any roads there are pavements 

This walk is served well by both road and rail being 10 minutes walk from Barnham Railway Station. The No.500 bus (with services from Chichester and Littlehampton stop on Yapton Road, Barnham adjacent to the car park.

Please use public transport if possible and/or car share to reduce car parking. 

Well behaved and controlled dogs are welcome.
