The walk visits reservoirs at the eastern edge of Ruabon Mountain using field paths and tracks. Some forested areas and also lanes.
We begin in woodland then enter a series of stiles through quite muddy fields. Gaiters and poles would be useful. We stop for coffee at a wooded dingle before entering access land where there are some marshy and muddy patches. This part of the walk gives good views to the Cheshire Hills and beyond to The Wrekin but it is 1000 feet up and exposed if wet and windy. We follow a steep valley on the edge of the moorland then enter woodland where we will stop for lunch. Field paths and stiles take us back to the edge of town and our finish. Please note that two of the reservoirs currently have engineering work going on so water is low but it is interesting still.
