Overview

A linear walk, starting at the Chyngton Lane North/Eastbourne Road junction, heading to High and Over, then down to Litlington for a morning break, before climbing out and through Lullington Heath to Jevington for lunch. Then taking the footpath out of Jevington, before joining the South Downs Way (SDW) to the summit of Willingdon Hill. The route will continue away from the SDW towards Friston and ending in East Dean. 

Please note – in the event of bad weather there are options to shorten the walk.

The junction of Chyngton Lane (North) and the A259. Buses stop here in both directions (including the 12A) This walk starts slightly later to allow “bus-pass” walkers to use buses after 9:30 AM. ​There is some parking on Chyngton Lane (North), but it would also be possible to park at East Dean or the Youth Hostel, or west of Seaford for those travelling in the other direction. then catch the bus to the start and from the finish as appropriate.
