NOTE: This walk is scheduled for a SATURDAY due to more frequent train service.
An out-of-season circuit around the edges of Skegness, finishing along (or next to) the beach. Route includes some town footpaths and pavements but soon heads out into quieter lanes and field paths (including some mud and possibility of cattle in places).
Maximum walk length is approx. 9 miles, with plenty of opportunities to shorten the walk by taking a more direct route or local bus service back into town. Likewise, plenty of refreshment or retail opportunities are available in Skegness before a choice of trains home.
Details to be confirmed when train timetable is known, will aim to start walk at or soon after 10am. Times below are based on info available October 2024 -
Catch the 08.57 train from Sleaford (09.04 from Heckington or 09.22 from Boston) or drive to Skegness if you prefer. Reduced train fares available with Senior Railcard or for 2/3/4 people traveling together. Journey time approx. 1 hour.
Return trains back to Sleaford from Skegness available at 14.16, 15.12, 16.15, 17.22.
Meet on concourse outside Skegness railway station.
