NOTE: This walk is scheduled for a SATURDAY due to more frequent train service.
An out-of-season circuit around the edges of Skegness, finishing along (or next to) the beach. Route includes some town footpaths and pavements but soon heads out into quieter lanes and field paths (including some mud and possibility of cattle in places) before heading back to the coast.
Maximum walk length is approx. 9 miles, with several opportunities to shorten the walk by taking a more direct route or local bus service back into town (without leader). Likewise, plenty of refreshment or retail options are available in Skegness before a choice of trains home.
See details and East Midlands Railway web link below. Advise booking tickets in advance if planning to travel by train to avoid queues / delay at departing station, which may not be staffed on the day.
Based on information on East Midlands Railways website February 2025 (see web link).
Walk will start at or soon after 10am from the concourse outside Skegness railway station.
