Shanklin - Borthwood and America Wood

This is part of the Broxtowe Ramblers Walking Holiday to the Isle of Wight

The walk starts from the hotel and is a circular woodland and open country walk. It has varied paths but, in wet weather, some muddy stretches are possible. It has a gentle ascent but there are one or two small hilly sections. The walk goes through America Wood, this is owned by The Woodland Trust and is an SSSI. The elevated position gives great views across the bay.
