Walking in Broxtowe
Here in Broxtowe, we’re a friendly bunch! We’ll make you welcome, whether you’re a new member or someone joining one of our walks for the first time. We publish a programme of walks three times a year covering winter/spring, summer and autumn/winter.
The current programme is available from our website with all the details you’ll need. Walks tend to be on Wednesdays (6 to 8 miles) or Sundays (9 to 12 miles). We also offer some shorter walks on Wednesdays and occasionally on other days of the week. Wednesday walks range in difficulty from ‘leisurely’ to ‘moderate’ whilst Sunday walks tend to be a bit more challenging.
We walk in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. Please check our website for any last-minute changes before setting out to join a walk - or contact the walk leader if in doubt.

We are a friendly lot - we love chatting as we go! Walks are planned to include a lunch stop at a pub or cafe: usually a packed lunch then inside for a drink! Walks are led, in the main, by experienced walk leaders but we encourage anyone to devise or find a walk and submit it for an upcoming programme. You'll be well-supported if you want to 'have a go'.
We offer a range of walks: from rugged hill walks, quiet strolls through fields, woods and sleepy villages, to canal tow-paths and urban walks.
We look forward to walking with you very soon!
