The route is on disused railway paths, farm tracks and field paths. Quite muddy on the recce so boots, gaiters and walking poles recommended. Steep climb from Sherburn up to Sherburn Hill. We need to cross a couple of minor roads and there is a short section of road walking. One stile, in good repair.
